1. Both of you…
Always decide to go somewhere or do something that you will both enjoy. Don’t just think of your date, think of yourself too.
2. Make the decision…
If your date is indecisive about where to go, be forward and make the decision. Taking control of the situation might impress your date.
3. Avoid activities…
Don’t go on an active date unless you know for sure your date will like it.
4. Dress correctly…
If the date requires a particular style of clothing, always inform your date. It will be embarrassing if they turn up dressed for a meal only to find they are going to be going for a long walk in the countryside.
5. Be honest…
If your date makes a suggestion but you hate the date idea, tell them, otherwise, it could be a disaster.
6. Think about costs…
Remember a date doesn’t need to cost the earth. You can spend as much or as little as you wish to suit all budgets. If you are paying your own way, remember to think of your date just in case they don’t have as much money as you.
7. Quiet, please…
Choose a date venue that will enable you to communicate with each other. Somewhere loud such as a club doesn’t give you the best opportunity to get to know each other.
8. Day as good as night…
Don’t assume a first date has to be in the evening. You can go on a date any time of day, obviously depending on work schedules.
9. Peoples tastes…
If you are planning on going out for a meal, it is a good idea to find out any food dislikes beforehand. If that isn’t possible, stick to a restaurant that serves a variety of food types.
10. Have a backup…
Always have a backup date idea in case your original idea falls through.
